Mariana Martins

Venezuelan designer and photographer, Mariana Martinis, credits her parents -both prominent architects- as being the key influencers in her profession. The years she spent surrounded by the arts encouraged her to take her first lessons in design and photography. What started as a hobby soon grew to be a passion when she discovered new techniques during her undergraduate studies. The knowledge acquired while studying to be a graphic designer opened Mariana up to new possibilities in photography.

Photography has always been at Mariana’s side. When working on design projects, Mariana took her own static photos to compliment her creations. Her passion for the arts expanded when she arrived in the United States. She began working for a video production company where she was in the field shooting social mixers and events. She acquired experience in capturing moments as they happen in real time.

More than 12 years have passed since Mariana first began working as a photographer. Accompanied by her demonstrated charisma, creativity and originality, Mariana has captured countless memories. She has been given the opportunity to shoot exclusive events such as the opening of Yoko Ono’s gallery in New York City, and a diverse range of individuals, such as Habibi – professional boxer and model for Ecko Clothing, Nirmala’s Kitchen & Karen Hoyos – prominent Latin speaking coach, among others. For more info visit her site:

In the U.S, Poinsettias and Christmas Cacti are some of the holiday season's most popular symbols. As these iconic plants having roots in Mexico and Central America, they have been appropriately re-surrounded with vivid tribal patterning for an effect that is natural yet unexpected.
